WHAT'S BREWING
⚔️ Clari + Salesloft walks onto Gong's turf
On July 14, Clari + Salesloft launched Salesloft Conversation Intelligence, building call recording, scoring, and coaching directly into the platform where reps already prospect and forecast. This is the moment that Clari are formally announcing their entrance into a category: conversation intelligence, which has been Gong's turf for a decade.
The details:
CEO Steve Cox called it the payoff on a bet: conversation intelligence now lives inside the execution surface, not a dashboard reps have to remember to open.
CPO Kylie Fuentes's line is the sharper one — the AI only works because it's grounded in real engagement and forecast data, "not what sits in a separate tool waiting to be reviewed."
Day-one features: AI trend detection across full call libraries, mobile in-person recording, auto call scoring, cross-call Q&A.
It lands five weeks after Zoom's acquisition of Common Room — the third GTM intelligence consolidation move in eight months. Same land grab, different play: this time an incumbent is building into a rival's moat instead of buying one.
Why You Should Care: Category lines are moving faster than most PMMs can update battlecards. When two vendors you track start absorbing each other's core categories, the "who does what" map your sales team relies on goes stale immediately.
The job isn't just tracking that a launch happened… it's catching the moment a competitor's positioning claim (build vs. buy, best-of-breed vs. platform) flips, and getting that reframe into your team's hands before a prospect brings it up first.
DIARY OF A PRODUCT MARKETER
👋 Your buyers are telling you what to market

We just wrapped H2/Q3 GTM planning, and something happened I'd bet is happening in your building too.
Every planning cycle circles the same question: where does the fuel go. When you’re a lean marketing team, you gotta be selective on what gets the bells and whistles treatment. Making those decisions is never easy, and are often based on vibes.
This quarter, a product line we hadn't marketed hard at all showed real revenue growth. Then, when we went back through win-loss interviews, the same product kept coming up unprompted, in buyers' own words.
Quant and qual data pointing at the same thing... perfect.
If you're in H2/Q3 planning right now, go check where your quant and qual already agree before you fight about where the GTM fuel goes.
Good luck out there 👊
NEW KLUE RELEASE
Instagram reels, but make it win-loss
This week we released Win-Loss Clips at Klue! Think about it like Insta reels, but for win-loss.
The moment a win-loss win-loss interview is conducted, Klue automatically finds the highlight, clips it into a short video snippet, and tags it by topic, outcome and buyer sentiment.
Then with one click, PMMs can share those clips out. Make your buyer’s voice go viral inside your org.
